Inspired by LA Tech’s redesign, I thought it’d be best if we prepared our website for DSVC by redesigning it to fit our design enthusiasm. I think it definitely suggests professionalism, subtlety, conservatism, and homage to the Egyptian dynasties. Note: Papyrus must be activated for Egyptian flavor.
As of this afternoon, Tech has launched their new web interface based on OmniUpdate’s cms. This is all fine and dandy, until you see this behemoth. I’ve already written a semi-formal complaint to the webmaster, and I encourage everyone to do the same.
Also, if you’d like to say one last goodbye to the old site, there will be a memorial service at tomorrow’s general meeting.

I’d like to apologize for the CSS tutorial tonight. I forgot to account for the varying levels of web experience/knowledge. And since the next tutorial was going to be advanced CSS techniques, I decided to cater to those who had no experience in web tonight. Even though, after the fact, it was probably way too much information for them to absorb regardless.
So to make up for the apparent boredom, next tutorial will be hardcore. All are welcome to attend, but I promise there will be material Berg didn’t cover in Web I.
